Our Services
Bright Waves OT provides in-home pediatric occupational therapy services to infants and toddlers (birth to 3years) in San Diego, CA. We specialize in feeding therapy- including breastfeeding, bottle feeding, transitioning to solids, and beyond. We also offer support in pre/post tongue tie release and overall infant development and wellness. Bright Waves OT takes a holistic, whole-body approach to support early feeding skills to help little ones thrive, shine, and grow.
Initial Evaluation | 60 mins
Detailed review of birth & medical history, developmental & feeding history
Whole-body & oral sensory motor assessment: overall development, motor movement, reflexes, sensory processing & regulation
Assessment of breast / bottle feeding or solids 6+ months
Development of home program to optimize oral function: Identify strategies for improved feeding, provide whole-body & oral sensory motor exercises
Treatment Session | 60 mins
Individualized treatment plan & goals based on your child & family’s needs/priorities
Sessions incorporate a blend of playful therapeutic movement, oral sensory motor exercises, gentle hands-on manual therapy & sensory regulation, as needed. A feeding session is observed for ongoing assessment & implementation of strategies. For older infants/toddlers, sessions can involve food exploration, oral motor play, sensory play, trialing solids. Parent coaching & home program is ongoing
Session Rates
We are an out of network provider and do not currently accept insurance. Services may be eligible for insurance reimbursement under your out of network (OON) benefits. We can provide a "superbill" for you to submit for reimbursement upon request.
